CBT for Fybromyalgia

Many people across the country are being diagnosed with chronic pain and fybromyalgia but at times have little or no information of how this condition can be treated. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and a research into EMDR are proving that both these treatment options are highly beneficial in accepting , understanding and living with those conditions.
A link below shows further information.

Click on this link which enables you to briefly review what the findings were from a randomised control trial.

Is CBT across Telephone effective?

Follow this link to view how effective a research trial was for CBT via telephone. Many IAPT and private CBT clinics are now offering therapy across email and telephone, it can prove cost effective and convenient

Telephone therapy isn't for everyone but for clients whom cannot access support initially by attending appointments due to their anxiety, this could be a good means of accessing support / advice.
